Hornby’s Hard Cider is not quite beer but I does go through a similar process. It is a pale amber color and light on carbonization with not much of a head. It is a really easy cider to drink , if you’re into that sort of thing. Its has a mildy sweet flavor of apples to it and an easy aftertaste. I would recommend this to anyone who is not much of a bitter beer fan and likes sweeter fair such as white wines.
Over all 3 out of 5 burps.

Fat Tire Amber Ale is brewed by New Belgium Brewing out of Colorado. It is a light clear amber in color and has a mildly sweet smell to it. It has a decent head but not too much. The real suprise is the flavor. It is a well balanced blend of malt and hops. You aren’t left with a bitter aftertaste or a feeling that the beer is too heavy. This is my first foray with this beer and I am quite pleasantly impressed with the overall richness and flavor. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a new flavor to try.

Foster’s Lager is a a nice full bodied beer from Australia ( though it is brewed by the Canadians, ehh!). It has a nice mid sized head and a decent flavor with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. It is nothing to write home about, especially if you are Australian. Apparently Foster’s may be Australian for beer, unless you actually live in Australia. In which case there are half a dozen other beers that are more popular. Foster’s is having quite a bit of trouble keeping market share down under. But they do quite well here in the U.S and Europe where we compare it to the sad likes of Coors and Budweiser. All in all I would rank it 3 out of 5 burps.

Newcastle brown ale is imported from England. And as most things that are from England and are edible it is bland bland bland. For a brown ale this beer is a one show pony. It reminds me of a hot Summer day when I am drinking a cola and it is almost gone, and the ice has melted and watered down the taste and you can even taste the styrofoam, yuck!
The appearance of the beer even looks watered down. It is a translucent brown and does not have much of a head.
I would rank it 1 out of 5 burps. Blah.

This lager beer is a bit off the mark from other Dark beers I have tasted. It is deceptive. You expect something heavy and laden with flavor, but all you get a mild dull flavored beer. While it is a dark beer it is not rich and does not have the heavy malt flavors that most dark beers have. It has very little sweetmess to it and no fruit flavors. It is essentially just bitter hops and roasted malt. My understanding is this is one of the most popular beer imports here in the U.S. That doesn’t say a lot about our taste. I would rate it 2 out of 5 burps.

Stella Artois is a Belgian beer and comes in a green bottle. It has an okay taste ( very similar to Rolling Rock) and a decent sweet taste with a somewhat bitter aftertaste. It is not too carbonated but in my mind is a little bland and simplistic. It really lacks flavor on more than one or two levels. While it is not as bad as most American beers I would not rate it much higher simply becuase it lacks a real punch.
