I usually avoid reviewing larger American beer companies beers because I don’t think much of their products. They tend to be watered down and bland. John Cleese said it best, “American beer is like having sex in a canoe, it is the next closest thing to water”.

Miller Chill is no exception, it is an odd lemon/lime flavored beverage masquerading as a beer. If Sprite made beer this would be it. It reminds me of B&J wine coolers I drank in the 80’s, very light, fruity and very little aftertaste. It is heavily carbonated, so much so that just sitting it back on the table causes a wall of foam to build inside the bottle. It has a zing of lemon/lime , a shot of salt, and not much else.

If you like Sprite and hate beer then this is your beer.

Actually, the “sex in a canoe” quote is a bit more profane than that, but I suppose your readers can Google the real one.

I’m a little annoyed with a friend of my wife’s right now. I had a single bottle of Miller Chill taking up space in my beer fridge for several months, much to my embarrassment, and desperately wanted to pawn it off on someone with bad taste. Instead, when we had a party Saturday night, she brought a small cooler over loaded with bad beer, and now I have FIVE bottles of Chill in my fridge!

Sounds to me like my old locals once branded ‘finest ale’, until a new owner took over and took the place apart, starting with watering down the beer to 0.01% alcohol.

Miller Chill is actually suppose to have a lime flavor to it not a lemon flavor!

Yeah, it’s best to avoid any of the following: Michelob, Miller, Bud, Old Milwaukee…and Pabst…however, Pabst has a sort of an ironic, ‘I know this stuff is horrible, but I’m drinking it anyway’ cache…

I’m actually surprised you even bothered to try. I don’t think I would have … and I probably won’t
